Speaker at Seminar “Biofuels - here to stay?” 5th August

As part of Pembrokeshire Sustainable Agriculture Network Events the seminar -‘Biofuels – Here to stay?’ will be held on Tuesday 5th August (7.30pm prompt start) at Nant-y-ffin Motel, Llandissilio, refreshments on arrival.

Speakers:
Harm de Wilde/Helena Athanasiou (Economists HGCA- Home Grown Cereals Authority) will give an overview of World and UK market in relation to biofuels.

Daniel Blackburn (Veg Oil Motoring) will give an introduction to the technology associated with the use of straight vegetable oil (SVO). This biofuel has been the most accessible for European arable farmers wanting to market their crop directly into the transport fuel sector. An overview of some of the current issues surrounding biofuels will be presented as well as a perspective of what the future could have in store for these types of fuels.

Veg Oil Community Mini Bus Launch

On July 3rd 2008 the Preseli Rural Transport Association (PRTA) launched their SVO converted minibus. This bus was converted by Veg Oil Motoring and will be providing vital community transport services particularly for the elderly in rural locations far from conventional bus services. New website opens

I am delighted to announce the opening of our new website. As well as the same useful information that was on the former site, I have added this rolling news section where I shall be posting updates, topical tips, links etc.

This new site will also soon be available in the Welsh language.
